FPFWP - ODIO x Jakub Pieczarkowski

O chyba najbardziej ekstrawaganckim duecie polskiej mody ciężko pisać czy poddawać analizie. Są bardzo wymagający i krytyczni – w szczególności dla swojej pracy i samych siebie. Kiedy, po raz kolejny, ODIO x Jakub Pieczarkowski pokazują swoje kolekcje na FashionPhilosophy Fashion Week Poland, już w głowach układają swoje kolejne projekty. I jestem przekonana, gdyby tworzyli w kraju, który jest bardziej otwarty na fantazyjne wizje, odnieśliby o wiele większy sukces niż na naszej rodzimej ziemi.


Tym razem, ODIO x Jakub swoje dzieła przedstawili publiczności na scenie OFF Out Of Schedule, a nie na Designer Avenue, jak robili to już od kilku sezonów. I chociaż początkowo w tłumie można było usłyszeć podejrzenia, o niewystarczający poziom, aby ‘wejść’ na aleję, tak szybko okazało się, iż przyczyną jest inna wizja artystyczna duetu. Zamiast typowego pokazu i biegających modelek, ODIO i Jakub dali możliwość widowni obejść swoje sylwetki. Modelki i modele stały w miejscu ze spuszczonymi głowami, aby co jakiś czas obrócić się o 90 stopni, czy w ogóle wyjść z wybiegu. W takich zabiegach najbardziej lubię moment zaskoczenia obserwujących, którzy są całkowicie zdezorientowani, kiedy modelka im ‘ucieka’. Po ok 20 minutach dialogu, między widownią, a projektami, przyszedł czas na bardziej tradycyjne ukazanie kolekcji – bardziej, bo choreografia nadal odchodziła od klasycznego przejścia modelek – po przekątnych i liniach bocznych ‘niewidzialnego’ kwadratu, niż po linii prostej.


Kolekcja utrzymuje się w niezwykle zdobnej i odważnej stylistyce, który duet ODIO x Jakub rozwijają i rozbudowują od początku swojej współpracy. Wizualne szaleństwo przejawia się nie tylko w autorskich materiałach i nadrukach, ale całej wizji prezentacji czy stylizacji. W swoich projektach, para projektantów ukazała swoją wizję kosmosu. Idea jest o tyle ciekawa, iż wizje galaktyczne są zazwyczaj prezentowana w oklepany, futurystyczny, graficzno-geometryczno-architektoniczny, pełny metaliczności. ODIO x Pieczarkowski mieszają faktury, materiały i proporcje – sztuczne futra, dzianina i zadrukowana, legendarna w Polsce, szara dresówka. Było kolorowo, warstwowo i efektownie.

ENGLISH:

It is hard to write about one of the most (if not simply the most) extravagant designer’s duet in polish fashion. They are extremely critical and demanding – especially towards their creative work and themselves. While showing their newest collection at FashionPhilosophy Fashion Week Poland, they simultaneously think about upcoming projects. And I am pretty convinced, that if only they were creating their clothes in more open for fashion fantasy country, they would have succeed much higher than they do in their homeland.


This time, ODIO x Jakub have presented their collection at the OFF Out Of Schedule scene, not at the Designer Avenue as they used to for the past seasons. The first reaction of the audience was rather surprise with the show placement – one could hear questioning the quality of the collection (since the Designer Avenue is seen as the space for the best collections (what is not always true)). It quickly appeared that the choice of the venue was strongly connected with the vision of collection’s presentation – instead of typical catwalk choreography, ODIO and Jakub gave the possibility to experience personally the designs, from every angle. Models were standing in motionless, however sometimes turning around by 90 degrees, or at some point simply leaving the catwalk. In this kind of experiments I like the most the astonishment of audience, when suddenly a model just turns around and goes away. After around 20 minutes of experiencing the collections, the time came for more traditional runway show – still models were walking on the diagonals and invisible squares.


Collection oscillates in extremely decorative and brave stylistics, which duo by ODIO x Jakub are developing and expanding since the beginning of their collaboration. Visual craziness appears not only in author’s hand-made and self-designed materials and prints, but on the entire vision of presentation or styling. In their designs, a pair of creators presented their interpretation of cosmos. The idea is more interesting, then it comes to the depiction – galaxy inspirations are often pictured with metallic, futurism, and geometric/architectural forms. ODIO x Pieczarkowski mixed different materials, textures and proportions – fake furs, knitwear and already legendary in Polish fashion – grey tracksuit cotton, but enriched with prints. It was full of colors, layers and consequently – strikingly.
